All vehicles with a vehicle weight of up to 3.5 tonnes (maximum permissible mass) that drive on Czech motorways or designated expressways need a valid e-vignette, including:
- Passenger cars
- Vans
- Motorhomes up to 3.5 t
- Vehicles towing a trailer (as long as the combined max weight is still max. 3.5 t)
Exemptions include:
- Motorcycles (unless pulling a trailer)
- Agricultural and forestry vehicles
- Emergency and rescue vehicles
- Vehicles of disabled persons (must be registered in advance with authorities)
- Certain zero-emission vehicles (e.g. EVs, must be registered in advance with authorities)
Vehicles with a maximum permissible weight of over 3.5 tonnes (incl. combo of vehicle + trailer) use a distance-based toll system (MYTO CZ) instead of the e-vignette.
